This clientele craved glowing skin, which is beautiful, youthful and blemish-free. To this end, clients would sometimes use solutions deemed inappropriate and even dangerous, containing toxic products (hydroquinone, corticoids ...). The results, often the reverse of what was sought, would provoke serious skin reactions.
From there, and in the face of more and more women seeking effective products but without negative side-effects, Jacques and Claude sprung into action ... In 2001, “Laboratoire Château Rouge” was born, offering black and dark brown skins a complete range of skincare products.

Laboratoire Château Rouge did not stop there ... Subsequent to addressing skin problems, it went on to develop hair-care products, where there was also a growing demand.
In particular, women, in trying to tame and straighten their hair, would sometimes use violent methods and found their hair becoming fragile, burnt and even fall out! In July 2005, participating pharmacies were able to offer a new and complete range of hair-care products by Laboratoire Château Rouge, especially for frizzy, woolly and straightened hair. Completely chemical-free, the range is based on a selection of plants chosen for their efficiency and high tolerance levels.
Another triumph for Laboratoire Château Rouge! Both skin and hair could be cared for in a highly efficient manner.
More recently, in 2009, Château Rouge has succeeded in developing a range of products to care for the delicate skins of babies and infants with black and dark brown skins. It offers mothers a dedicated range of non-lightening products for cleansing and caring for the skin of their young children.
